    This sort of clears up some issues with copyright violation. But as usual there are still some "gray" areas!

    yes, I thought so myself...but these days, it is sort of like the old saying, if you have to ask how much it costs, then you can't afford it...well if you have to ask IF you can do it, then it is best NOT to do it...

    I think the biggest issue these days are with the designers who are trying to tell the consumer that they can NOT make items to sell from their patterns...and that is really causing a lot of grief in the designer community.

    I thought you all might like to read the information on this site.There is a lot of ifo and court cases to back them up.
    I'm not sure of the fact but they seem to present it very well.j

    she is a thorn in the backside of every artist/designer in the world!
    all she has claim to is that YES the first use doctrine can be used ONCE by a person using Lic. fabrics. Copyright law takes effect as well, so there is still a fine line between right and wrong!
