I would rather see our tax dollars go to something like this. And not some $ 400.00 toilet seat for the Pentagon.

I wonder if there is any way to find out who wrote the article?

Here is a pretty good response to the article
    http://terificreations.wordpress.com...les-taxpayers/

I didn't read it all but it sounds like this article has ruffled a lot of feathers. I'm sure no one will own up to having written it for fear of being put between two fabric layers and quilted to death!

I think eating meat is irrelevant in todays society and my tax dollars subsidises them too. I can not always pick and choose where my money is being spent. The other area I can think of right off the top is in the military industrial complex. I don't like that my $ goes there either. Oh well! The $ spent on this museum is a drop in the bucket compared to what we spend on wars.
If federal money were spent more on arts and education imagine how much greater this country could be than what it is now.
There is all kinds of $ being spent through federal subsidies. Some good some bad. The way of the world.
    peace

I agree. The person who wrote this knows nothing about the subject. The editors who published it obviously aren't qualified to be editors.

It is interesting that the "author" remained annonymous.

With this attitude, historic buildings are destroyed; traditions fall by the wayside; and quilts are not seen as works of art rather than pieces of cloth. I have not made the effort to visit this nearby quilt museum, but must do so now just to protest his article.
