Hey all you Quilt lovers out there!!! It's time to head to Wray, Colorado for the greatest little outdoor quilt show on the eastern plains happening this weekend, June 26, 27th.

This is our tenth year celebration and there will be lots of beautiful quilts hanging up and down Main Street for you to enjoy and be sure to vote for your favorites. There are great prizes for the winners.

There will be a fun tote bag class given on Friday evening June 26th. It is made from charm squares and will be the perfect bag for carrying all your essentials to your next quilt class.

Quilts will be hung Saturday morning the 27th and there are several different categories including antique quilts.

Go to http://www.geocities.com/quiltsoftheplains to see a picture of the awesome quilt that is being raffled. This amazing purple and white quilt was made and quilted by our own awesome Fellow Quilter, Brian Clements. Be sure to buy tickets! It is truly a work of art. I hope I win!!!

For more details go to http://www.highplainsquilting.com and click on events and clubs. Our blog also has a picture of the quilt to be raffled. You may also call Rainbow Fabrics in Wray at 970-332-4343 for more information.

This show is definitely worth seeing and the day will be filled with all quilting things fun. So get in the car and start driving!! Hope to see you there!!

Forgot to mention...the tickets for the quilt raffle are $1 or get 6 tickets for $5. The drawing will take place at 4:30pm on June 27, 2009 at 4th and Main Street in Wray.

Wish I had already left on vacation cause I could have gone to this one. But... we're leaving this weekend. Headed to Colorado, Wyoming & Montana. We'll be out there a couple of weeks. Does anyone know of any shows or anything quilt related we could go to while we're out there?
    Thanks in advance.

Yep. Wray is just a short hop East of Akron (~60 Miles).

Thanks so much! That helped a lot. I knew there were some out there but kept getting the same 2 or 3 sites when I googled.

In case you weren't able to make it out to little Wray, Colorado for the "Quilts of the Plains" show, we have a few pics. We had great fun.
