I just wanted to make you aware of this remarkable piece of Australian history: a quilt made on board a convict ship.
I like to imagine the conversations around this coverlet as a motley crew of women put the more than 2800 pieces together on their way to a frightening new life on the other side of the world from everything familiar to them.

Are there pattern books/cds available like with the Dear Jane quilt? That's something that I would possibly be interested in reproducing.
