Although, I have purchased a couple of these pens; I have never felt compelled to use them on any of my projects. When I received one as a gift, I immediately did a search and found several discussions on the pens which led me to my decision to never use them for quilting.

I have the pens also...but have never really used them for marking quilts. Think I will stick with the Crayola Washable Markers for that.

I've also used these pens but rarely. Thanks for the info will only use them on paper now. Quilters on other sites seem to like the Crayola Ultra-Clean Washable Markers and use them on fabric with no problem. I bought them but haven't used them yet so I can't testify to their safety on fabric. I'm not affiliated with Crayola, just saying.

I have never used the Frixion pens but have used the crayola markers, testing first and in my experiments, they completely wash out in cold water and home made laundry detergent.

I have used them, I love them. That said, I do not do competition quilts, I mostly make family quilts and an occasional friend quilt. If a quilt gets cold and the marks re-appear, tell them to throw it in the dryer.
