    Did anyone see the ending segment on NBC Nightly News tonight (Wednesday 12/2)? Here is the link to see what this lady started after her visit to Africa. She didn't even know how to sew when she started this.

    Yes I saw it to. This is one smart lady and to take on this task is admirably. Reminds me of the project linus quilts that so many of us do. Making these little dresses would be so easy to. I'm sure there are little girls here in the USA that could use a new dress too.

    she lives really close to me..but i didn't realize it. they make the dresses out of pillow cases too. also a free pattern for boys shorts...it is a great cause!

    I sure agree with that, with all the unemployment in our own country, now is the time to help our own.

    I like to spread out my love of sewing ,quilting,and giving...I sew quilts for Linus (local), I sew quilts for the missionary I support in Kentucky (US.) and I make pillowcase dress for Haite (world)...wish I could do more ...

    I have seen her 2x's, the 1st time was on PBS Sewing with Nancy and then again the other night.
    I think its very nice of her and others like her but we have so many people here in the U.S. right now especially with the economy that need our help, there are still Katrina people that need help !!
