Hope it will be okay to post this here - it is NOT my machine and I have absolutely no connection with the seller -

Oh, I really hope the right person comes along for that machine! I'd hate to see the drawers repurposed or it turned into something it's not supposed to be. Once I saw one painted a truly ugly color, a basin put into the machine well and wine glass holders attached under the table. It also was for sale on Craig's List only for a ridiculous price. It is gorgeous.

You have no idea how much I want that. Years back I dated a man that wanted to buy a base for me in a junk antique store. Trying to be nice I declined. What was I thinking????

I have great grandma's Redeye sewing machine, bought about 1919 or 1920. In the 1920 census she and husband are separated and she is listed as a seamstress. My cabinet is barely holding together, but the head is beautiful. There are two drawers on each side.

Wish I lived closer, too. The price surely is very good. Just reading that he was going to junk the machine almost brought me to tears. The gentleman whom I purchased most of my antique Singer machines from passed away very suddenly this past June so I won't be buying any more machines. If this was within 400 miles from me I'd be in it in a flash. Hope it finds a wonderful loving home
