"Younger quilters won't touch templates....." Just like the rest of their lives.....quick or not interested.......sad, I think part of quilting, piecing is the time put into it. I don't mean years, but taking the time to relish each phase of the process not just hurry, hurry, I want it done yesterday.....jmho. I can see times when shortcuts are needed, if time restraints make it necessary to "quickly" make a quilt, but not each time..

I watched Jenny's pattern today on YouTube and didn't think it was difficult at all. It's obvious that the block has to be trimmed while sewing it, but isn't that what almost all blocks have to have done before being finished? Mine do.

I watched the video and was intrigued. I did see where some of the pattern was off a little. As I watched her cut the sides down to the 1/4 inch, I lamented that she used a ruler instead of a square. That might explain the errors. I might also trim the finished block down To the perfect 1/4 inch seam allowance with a square.
