Check this site out, what a neat idea...I'm not making mine for the car seat but thought it would make a wonderful wrap for baby, even maybe put a velcro strip on it to keep it closed, or one could put a pocket in towards the bottom where the baby's feet would go...the ideas are endless...

I have already cut one out tonight...so cool. one word of advice, the straight lines on the pattern, should be more of a curved one, as for the corner I used a plate to make the semi circle.

That's a very clever idea. I don't need this item, but I love the creativity she used making it. Thanks for sharing the information.

This is just the coolest! Thanks so much for the tute. I make a lot of items for our local crisis center for babies and it helps the mom's greatly.

That is so cute. Isn't the baby a cutie too? I'll have to show these to my daughter. She had a son last month and may want a couple to use. Thanks for sharing.

I don't wish to be negative about this but wrapping a baby like this in a capsule or car seat is not recommended. We had a case here in Australia where the baby slid out of the seat in an accident and died. Another one because they were using a secondhand capsule. This baby died also and it was only eight weeks old.
The advice given was to strap the baby into the capsule first then cover. With using second hand capsules it was recommended to have them checked by an expert.
The blankie is cute but just wanted to pass on this information as two precious babies never made it.
