Out of the package it feels like taffeta. It has the creases from being folded in the package, but they can not be ironed out (don't ask me how I know). I tried it with brown fabric and used it to applique the steams on a pumpkin. I also made squares for the corners of a wallhanging. I love the look of it.

From what I understand, using the shrinking thread is much more time consuming and the results are not as consistent as using Texture Magic.
