I think for a hobby you should get what you can afford. When was the last time you heard a fishing enthusiast say he / she needed to sell a lot of fish to buy that new fishing gadget?

So true!! Going to a pro footgame game cost about as much these days. DH can drop $500 at Bass Pro or John Deere in no time. His last hunting jacket was over $600 on sale. Did he need a new hunting jacket? Yes his old one wasn't made from the lighter warmer fabric that is available today. And he said he was getting older and weight made a big difference. Same with turning or not turning a Go for me. I preordered one for my Christmas present.
