This man is amazing! Some of the coolest pieces are not on the website, but these sites will give you an excellent idea of the art he makes. He brought in some jackets and wall hangings for us to look at up close as well as an extensive slide show - the detail in the pieces is amazing. He "invented" a reverse applique technique that uses about 5 layers of silk that he sews and cuts through to get his patterns, both abtract and impressionist.

Looking at this work makes my brain hurt. How in the world does one do that kind of intricate work???!!! (Especially when I think about how proud of myself I get just because my points actually match?!) Thanks for sharing....I think I'll go take a Tylenol now :lol:
