think i'll try it using toweling for both sides. we also have extras now that the kids are out of the house.

LOVE your idea -- and am thinking I'll be cutting those awful bands off the old towels and substituting some quilted fabric squares instead....would be a nice touch for our newly renovated bathroom. Thank you!!

BTW - I'm trying to find RUST colored towels for the same bathroom....have gone to Kohl's, Walmart, Costco, JCP, and rust evidently isn't an 'in' color anymore. Any of you out there seen rust colored towels for sale?
