    ...and did you see the "new" member of the team.......he mentioned having an 11 yr old child, seems so young, but then everybody seems " young" to me these days! I will be curious to see his presentation on February 2

    The "new" member as you call him (Rob Appell) is actually a very well known quilter and has won at some major shows. He does a lot of raw edge applique and a lot of animals and landscapes. If you want more detailed quilt click o the link and on his site he shows an appliqued version of the skateboard.

    I just watch the video and I cannot wait to make this quilt. It is so great. I did not know there was a pattern, where do you get the pattern?

    I just haven't had the time today. Received the email regarding this new pattern. I had seen it in a magazine over 6 months ago.

    I know...so out of curiosity I went to his website and watched some video of him making reindeer heads out of palm husks...for Christmas, not being from California, this intrigued me.....did not see any of his quilt works though......will have to go back and look further.....
