Thanks craftybear, I am going to have my DD watch this as I am in Florida for the winter and DD in Michigan has decided to try quilting I have tried to answer her questions about doing a nine patch, I think this will help her more to see it done.

Did you all notice what she was using for a cone thread holder? What an inventive idea and I'd never have thought to put the cone into a glass jar next to the machine.
