    For what is charged for for batiks .....I'll bet these poor people get pennies for all the hard work. Sad .

    Very interesting, but also depressing. I worry about them being exposed to that dye- can it be healthy to get in on their skin all the time like that, and climb into the vats?

    I also noticed that the dyeing was all done by men- the first woman we saw was at the folding stage. I wonder why that is?

    Anyhow, it is excellent to know how it is made. I knew the traditional methods used wax but I was assuming that the Moda stuff was some sort of photographic reproduction.

    thank you for sharing this great video...it is very enlightening....I may be going back to Bali (for the 10th visit ) at Christmas and will have to go and see for myself.
