Hi I have just purchased a Janome 550e also purchased the Janome Acufil Tool kit which has an ASQ18b hoop with locking grooves and metal plates included with 8 magnet clips and a grid very easy to use and not much misalignment, if you are super pedantic they can be lined up perfect ..I think the 15000 use an ASQ22 hoop kit ..I just sold my 11000 it had an Acufil kit similar to the 550e.I don't know anything about DME hoops..
.This is why I brought 550e because of the hoop size ( 8x14 ) and I don't have to split the design to fit the hoop, just stitches out the whole design. The 11000 macro hoop 8x11 you had to split the design so it will stitch out a large design
Also, have Janome MC6600 P for sewing ....... Zoo
