Default Shut the Barn Door * EMB project

This is my latest project on the EMB machine. These designs are intensive but so far no thread or needle breaks. The horse block is 86,000 plus stitches and 55 thread changes. It took me 3 days to finish as I don't stitch all day long. Another block has over 100K stitches... Why all this work you ask?

It will become a fold up barn for my little GSon who loves them! Hopefully, he will still love them by the time I finish all 18 blocks.

I'm using extra stabilizers and fusible batting. Still there is some pulling. I added machine stippling in the sand area of the piggie block which helped it lay flatter.

I promise to show more of the project as it comes together.

This is a project that will be a memory forever for GS. I love embroidered quilts. I have done a few over the years and the embroidered quilts are so different that patchwork. I love incorporating my embroidery work into quilts. Beautiful and exciting work!

that looks really neat! I love the projects that turn into a 3D project - though I've not done any yet.

I also made Gson this little barn to put all his animals in...horses, pigs and dinos. LOL! It is only available from a LQS and not on line though. It was a fun project.

Wow! Just amazing. Way out of my skill set, but something to strive for.
