I have a couple of Cross-stitch projects that I keep in the car console so when I'm rushing around at the last minute trying to get us all out of the house, I won't forget to take something to do if needed.

I like to carry applique, but I have to admit, I really have to concentrate when doing it, so each time I've taken it out, I've really messed up some nice work!

    GFG is Grandmother's Flower Garden.

I knit when I am out b/c I can knit and still make eye contact, see what is going on around me, be sure I'm still in the right lane (oops, did I say that out loud?). I would for sure stab myself if I took a real needle!

I'm doing the quilt on the cover of Jo Morton's book - TRADITIONS - in repro fabrics.
It's a small snowball and I really enjoy doing it.

Whats your favorite take along project?
I take my latest applique or hand piecing project. Because I make mostly small quilts, I also take along my hand quilting.

You know, now that I think about it, I very seldom go anywhere that I have enough "down time" to bother dragging out even a small handwork project. My Kindle goes with me even if I think I will have 5min! If I did take a handwork project it would probably be a small item that needed the binding hand-stitched.
