Make sure you go to the Sew "N Sew Shop across the street from Peppers Market in Deming. Janet has very nice fabric in her store, we drive from Las Cruces to shop there.

I'm so lucky here. One of the clubhouses has a huge sewing room and they have boxes of donated quilting books and magazines they sell for $2. And material for $1.00 a yard. Rarely large pieces but so nice for the smaller ones.

All that good stuff and not all full of advertisements. Wow that is a good find.

Small world. My husband did a travel nursing stint for a little over a year in Deming about 3 yrs ago. We enjoyed it there. Left before the trouble got really bad in Mexico. Settled in Brownwood TX

I have several old quilting magazines I want to unload. They do not seem to go on eBay tho. Any suggestions?

Just found out our Walmart in Lake Howell Plaza will be keeping their fabric department. The employees are so happy and they felt it was because of all of the customers voicing their opinions...

How old are they? I have the same problem but guess I'll keep mine. I have at least 4 big totes just packed with magazines. Some from the 70's, more from the 80's most from the 90's and a lot from 2000 on up. I do have some American Quilter, Creative Needle and a few others I'm either going to sell or trade them here. Sorta keeping it in the family you may say! Ha! Ebay I found out won't give you anything unless you get the right person. I may trade them for a few blocks, a couple of fat quarters or whatever. You could do that with yours, trade for blocks, material, or whatever you think would be a good trade. Each pay postage for whatever you send. Just an idea. Good Luck!
