I just returned from WalMart. We are in Deming, NM right now. The WM has some notions, quilting supplies, FQ, but not cut fabric. I was really surprised when looking through the magazines to find "Quilt". It was not sealed so I could flip through and see if I wanted to spend $5. Well I sure did! Lots of patterns (I mean actual patterns), lots of quilts, wall hanging, computer bag and apron. And of course ads for new fabrics, quilting supplies, etc. It is the Dec/Jan issue. One thing that made me groan is a pattern for an antique quilt. It is the 54-40 or Fight pattern that I am now repairing and had to make my own pattern from rotted pieces of fabric. I'm doing the happy dance!

isn't it wonderful to find something like that, and it be worth the money?!

seems like we used to have the minitures magazine and the big block mag at the local drug store, years ago, now i never see them...:(

I just looked at their website.

    http://www.quiltmag.com/

There are several free quilt and other sewing patterns on there. It might be a resource for someone looking to try something new without buying another pattern.

I hope it's ok to say this but...I'm still new but when my two weeks are up I want to post in classifieds some of my many magazine for sale or trade. Most are OLD and have the full patterns of blocks and instuctions. Also you would be pleased to know I have some Miniature Quilt mags as well. I love my magazines but can't no way use them all. Two I really don't have a use for are American Quilter and I think it's Creative Needle. I'll post the add telling what all I do have when I can. I had no idea this group had a classifieds, shoot I didn't know I would be this active in any group! I love it here!
I'm glad you mentioned the miniature quilt...now I'm excited to give them to good homes!
