And the electrical outlets, wind can come down/up the studs inside the insulated areas....just a thought. Can't wait to see your building photos as the work progresses. You are blessed

That sounds like a dream, looking forward to your pics.

We've been working and the first coat of paint is almost on. DS came up this weekend and WE HAVE LIGHTS! He is still working on the outlets, but he got the service from the house in and the lights and about half the outlets. He'll be back to finish up probably next weekend. Of course, this is not the lighting I will have later, but at least the room looks welcoming, doesn't it?? The black square at the end of the room is the hole for the A/C. We covered it with a plastic trash bag since we are hoping for rain tomorrow.

We took a vacation and it took a few days to get caught up and get the laundry done, but we ordered the "batting" on Thursday from Lowes and they delivered it yesterday. Today...we started at 9:00AM and finished at 1"30PM. DH and a friend of his did most of the work. My job was to cut the pieces that needed cut. I used scissors and a 60 mm rotary cutter! The painting is finished on the outside except for part of the trim. Wind has been a big deterrent to that, but it seems to be finally dying down, so perhaps next week. We will also be ordering the rest of the "sandwich": the sheetrock (drywall)! DS will be doing that with DH for a helper. My job will be painting once that is done. Enjoy the pictures; it's coming right along!

Part of the trim is on.

I am so envious of your quilting studio. It is such a large area! Can't wait to see the finished room.

Your quilting studio is going to be quite a place.Next thing we'll hear that you're sitting in there quilting and running a business to sell your quilting projects.Whatever you decided to do, it's all yours and you don't have to share space with anyone else.Must be heaven.
