I bought the "twister" tool and a layer cake package to make my niece a quilt. I have sewed all the 36 10" blocks together and added an inner border like the instructions said to do. Now my problem/question is : do I really want to cut the whole thing apart and resew it like instructed. Has anyone outhere made such a quilt? Could you please make suggestions? Could you post some pictures if you have done this please? If I finish it I'll have to try to find more fabric from that collection ?

Go to search above and type in twister and there will be a lot of pics. Yes, many have done these and they turn out beautiful. Good luck and will wait to see your pics.

I've only used the lil twister on 5" square & I love the results.
From what I've read on this board, the scraps resulting in cuts using the bigger twister can be used for borders.

I LOVE my twister tools. I am just finishing off quilting 8 'lil twister' quilts and I have a Big Twister quilt ready to be quilted.

A great pattern to use up bigger scraps of fabric.

If you cut it correctly and are very careful, the scraps left over can be cut into the smaller twister size provided you have the smaller ruler. I saw it done at my LQS.

I've made 3 quilts from the big tool and ton's of wall hangings from the small tool. there is some waste but I was able to sew the "extra" fabric together for another project. Don't be afraid.....They turn out so cool.
