I laugh every time I see someone write that a person, often DH, has asked "What are you going to do with one more ..." Well I am DH and both my wife and I quilt. But the answer to the question is "I'm expanding my collection". If you have 3 or more of something - quilts, pieces of fabric, rulers, sewing machines, or whatever, you have a collection. And everyone knows you don't have to do anything with a collection - its there just for enjoyment. I always tell everyone that I don't have a fabric "stash", I have a fabric collection. I don't have to use it up; if I did it wouldn't be a collection anymore! As long as I keep my collections neat (sort of) and can enjoy touching them, looking at them, playing with them, etc. then I can buy whatever my budget and space will allow. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I commend your attitude ;-) I think I'm done with gadgets though.

My DH & I both have our Collections, mine is fabric, his is work shop tools, bits, etc.

Makes for a happy marriage, going on 35 years this December.

We both buy what we want or need, no questions asked or explanation needed.

I have a wonderful husband. He is very supportive of my hobby as I have been for years with his tools. I am not sure he is aware of the extent of the fabric "collection" but he may soon as we are thinking of getting a smaller place since our one daughter is grown.
