There is a video of the flying geese method on Kaye Wood's website. It's done by Joan Hawley (sp?) and I think it is exactly what you are looking for.

I found the best way for me is to PP them. Quilters Cache can provide the pattern for you. Gotta love that ALL the points are perfect!
