Whenever tempted to put it off, think of the joy in his face when he sees what you did for him. I'd think about all the reasons I married him, and then work on that quilt as though you were working to win him all over again. I'm a procrastinator at times, too, so I have to think of the important reasons why I need to finish something big sometimes. I can't think of anything more important than my wonderful husband! It's going to be a beautiful quilt, by the way!

Get off this computer & start stitching. :-) You CAN do is if you really want to. I find I spend waaaay too much time here on the Board & if you're like me - you do too. So, get busy - finish up the blocks. Once they are done, you'll only have to stitch the rows together & quilt & bind & you're done!!!

The QB is behind you all the way - feel that push? You'll make it or be at least close enough so he gets the visual effect of teh quilt - good luck - and a happy anniversary in advance of the day! :)

A little back ground on the quilt it is a 89x96 the biggest one I have tackled to date. It is for my husbands and my anniversary.
I made a big stink about how this is our 10 year and we should exchange gifts since we never do for other anniversary. Well since I do not work and get all my money from him I felt a little weird saying hey can I get some money for your present. So I thought I will make him a quilt. I have not made him one yet and he would LOVE it!
June slipped by and I didnt get much done. Summer is in full swing and I am starting to wonder if I am going to get it done in time. I know I can piece it but quilting it will be a challenge for me as it is so big.

I have 30 days! Looking for moral support buecuase I think I am going to need it. Oy Vey Help

You just need motivation!!!! I just made a quilt in one day. So if I can do one in one day, you can do one in one month. Motivation is the key. In my case, the giftee is 85 years old and in failing health. My DDIL wanted a quilt for her mother to cuddle during her many states of confusion. Look in the picture section under "My flannel, strippy, scrappy, quilt in 1 day, with fleece backing, quilt." Get off here and get busy :!: :!: :!: :? :?

Just take it one day at a time. I hope the pressure to finish it does not make it a "chore" instead of something that is fun! You could also give him the quilt top with the promise to get it quilted soon!

Stop wondering and Just Do It!!! Someone gave you the ability to do anything. He did not give you the spirit of wondering. You have all of us on the board backing you up and we know you can do it. Anything is possible. Now repeat afer me... I CAN DO IT! I CAN DO IT! I CAN DO IT! Now pick up that fabric, Turn on that sewing machine. And get to work. And keep saying, "I CAN DO IT! No good luck, just a "Yea! You did it!!!!
