    This is a GREAT idea! You could take her to your LQS first to check out fabric available & then have her graph it out. Of course, it would mean a 2nd trip to the store to purchase the fabrics (that's not a bad thing to do LOL) If you need help figuring the amount of fabric to buy, your LQS could help. This would be a wonderful way to totally involve her in the creation of her "own" age appropriate quilt--not at all old peopleish. :lol:

    My daughter wanted a hot pink, black and white quilt. I made
    her a log cabin quilt, black center, with pink and white log cabin.
    She loved it (got the material at Walmart) And then I put a hot pink and Black and White Poka Dot Border. (Made a pillow case
    to go with it too! Good Luck, post your progress.
