    Default 10" Squares

Hi! My name is Sandy and I have never posted to this site before. I am looking for suggestions on where I could find patterns using 10" squares. Names of quilt books, or patterns using my package of squares. I have 48 all with a Halloween theme. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the board from Oklahoma City. You can always go to Missouri Star Quilt Company and they have some great tutorials. You can also google "quilt patterns using 10" squares" and you should be able to pull up some ideas. That's just my 2 cents worth. Hope it helps!!!

Welcome from Alaska! You can also google Layer Cake and you will amazed at what pops up. I love the Missouri Star Quilt Company also and check out all the free patterns at the Moda Bakeshop.

Welcome from UK. Missorie star is excellent but look at amazon they have a wide selection of books using precuts as does book depository.

I was in your boat when I bought a couple of layer cakes. I didn't want to waste even 1" as I thought I paid a lot for the layer cakes. I'm in the middle of this one. I still want to add some neat borders (probably pieced)...haven't decided what yet...

But I'm pleased with my progress so far. I need it to be queen sized for our bed as I'm making this one for us.

    Some great books-
    Schnibbles times two and
another Bite of Schnibbles. Great patterns for 5in. charms and 10 inch layer cakes.

This is my favorite pattern by Missouri Star Quilting Company's Jenny Doan, it's a big star quilt. She uses a layer cake (10" squares) to make this pretty quilt. Here's the link to the youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tkm3nCferp4

Just had to comment on this. Your quilt is so cool. Looks exactly like they are floating.... What a wonderful concept.
