Been there...and I've just begun! I found myself sneeking in with an 6"x24" ruler yesterday. I was holding by my side with a bag of groceries in the other hand. The food got his attention while I walked (quickly) into the other room!

agreed. we don't hide our purchases from each other. we both worked for our money and we both spend it.

This is so funny. I don't hide my fabric, the fact is, there is no more room hahahhahaha....I have units in one closet and all the fabric in there is color colded. Then there is a large cubboard with shelves, same deal. The batiks are in the dresser drawers by themselves....when I get ready to do a project. Then there are a couple bins with odd stuff, like all christmas fabric and one with a mix that I use for block and quilt alongs.

I pull from all areas and that is when hubby comes out and starts with....how much money is invested here etc hahahha...he is funning, because he likes to eat, get my drift? lol....

I have to have the fabric visible or I can't create...I have put myself on stop buying, because I really need to use up ....

A friend who once owned a LQS said that in her next store she was going to have the words "Grocery Store" printed on the outside of the shopping bags so that customers could take them in the house without feeling guilty.

One time on vacation, DH stopped at a ton of quilt shops. I shopped and put my purchases under the dog's bed in the back of the van. DH had no idea how much I had purchased, 'til we got home! Then, of course, it was all purchases for others, or Christmas presents, or just a secret!

What a great video. Glad we can laugh at our harmless vice. It's just me now, so there is no one to hide it from, but my family knows I'm a fabricholic. They laugh at me but I notice they always shout dibs on the quilt under construction. With you quys as inspiration, I am sorting my fabric by color, but I already know it won't all fit in the linen closet I use for my stash. Maybe the house next door......?
