If anyone knows- what is the large round hole on right side on the machine used for? It's several timesl bigger than the small holes where a person would oil the machine. Just wondering !

No. It's not my machine. My friend said she got the machine at an auction and when she got ready to sew she called and asked me what was the purpose of the larger hole.

If it is the one I am thinking about it allows you to be able to disassemble and assemble the stitch length regulator. I use it to be able to oil the area and make sure the parts are free from grime and functioning properly.

Thank you! I just talked to her and she said the machine was a 1932 model and the round hole was about the size of a dime? She bid $200 for it and she was thrilled to get it!

Wow! Billy-this is great news. Do they know what caused your problems yet? I've been thinking about you a lot- and praying you're doing better.
