I am envious of you having so many shops for your fab shop. Oregon only had 24 shops this year. WE finished the portland area on Thursday and Friday, and central I-5 area today. 18 shops total. Won't be able to do the rest as they are too scattered. But all the blocks are great this year and the focus fabric in really nice. I like the idea of having a specific quilt to build on. I am not a huge have of oranges, but yours are really great. Enjoy making it into a quilt.

I'm from CA so I don't know a lot about the parts of WA. I visited my brother in Ephrata in Nov. and went to a wonderful quilt store there. I think it is called The Fabric Patch. In So. Cal., there are tons of great quilt shops and this one in Ephrata was as good as any in So Cal. They have everything and were very helpful. I went there 3 times in 5 days!

I'm from Bellingham and am in Federal Way often to visit my sister. Are the shops you're referring to the ones on the shop-hop list or are there others around your area that are not part of the Shop hop? We have at least 8 quilt shops just in the Bellingham area.

We visited all of the Bellingham area shops that participated in the Shop Hop, that was fun!

There is a nice shop in Renton, Pieces, that was not in the Shop Hop.

Thanks, I'll have to look it up and go there next time I'm in town. I love being in such close proximity to such good shops, but there are NEVER enough!

Good for you! I used to live in the Seattle area, Duvall actually. I did parts of the shop hop a few times. The most shops I visited was 22 in 2 days. Now that I'm on the east coast, I really miss the experience. Maybe one year we'll travel back there in late June just to do the WWSH.
When you make the blocks, please post photos.

Verna, which part of So CA are you in? Have you been to Rosie's or M&L fabrics?

I've been to Rosie's once and really enjoyed it but I am in the high desert and too far away. My favorite is M&L but I purposely refrain from going there cuz I spent way too much $ the last time I was there a few years ago, and gratefully I don't live close enough to be tempted to just pop in.

warm quilt hugs, sue in CA

I just finished the quilt shop hop and did 44 quilt shops in 4 days. I went from Morton to Lynden. Missed Vashon, Duval and the ones on the coast. My friend in Portland go the ones down her way, so we have 48 patterns. I live in Kent.
