I just received a UFO started in 1987, and have 2 blocks and parts for 10 more started. I also got the extra material and original instructions for completing the quilt. However...it was a 6 month installment BOM series. I wonder if anyone has the template instructions for the remaining blocks.
The quilt is from July/August 1987 "Quilter's Newsleter Magazine" a New Series Quilt: Log Cabin Home Sampler, Part One.
I would be more than willing to pay for photocopies and postage for the rest of the instructions. I would not want to disrupt any library of magazines...Heaven Forbid!!!!! :-(

I have added photos of what I have received...the original was done in browns....the UFO is in patriotic colors. I really need to consider a much larger "design wall."

I'll look tomorrow and see if I have them. I have maybe 30 or 40 old Quilters Newsletters.

see and this is why I love this board.
Since you have the picture of all the blocks I wonder if you could find the blocks on quilter's cache and make them the size you need.

I just googled a while and no luck on 1987 log cabin home sampler. But you could just use any log cabin patterns in your size. YOu can look up log cabin blocks in google and go from there . Good luck. Maybe Rapture will have it.
By the way, I have been to Puyallup several times. Used to live in Kent ,WA for 3 years. I miss the fairs there and the earthquake burgers and scones. Wa. is a beautiful state and cool. I am melting here in Texas LOL. HOpe you find it.
