    Hi all,
Well, just finished up getting acquainted with my new PQ1500...so far, so good...I chain pieced several blocks, could not believe how fast it went, how the thread didn't bunch up at the beginning, and the 1/4 inch foot is right on! I did some 1/8 inch from seam straight quilting (not sure if there is a real term for that..?? :?: )...I did not even put the walking foot on, I used the pin feed setting, and it turned out great! On to fmq...well, now I have to say the machine is doing its part...I am still fairly new to this, so the "pattern" of stitching is not the best. What I can say, though, is that the quality of the stitches was great, there were no "birds nests", "skips", "loopys", etc...and that is HUGE for me...so, all in all a good 1st date...and, I can't wait to try more tomorrow! I do so hope that the fmq gets better, I have seen so many beautiful quilts, a lot of them on here...and I just want so much to be able to get this fmq down!!

I love mine too. I need to practice the FMQ but I really bought it to use with my PCQuiter and I WILL one of these days, soon.

I didn't know what the pcquilter was...checked it out, that seems amazing! When you do try it out, please let me know how it does with out PQ1500!

I'm so happy for you! I know how that feels to work with a lesser quality machine then get a good one. My brother is smaller, but I love that it can do things that no other machine I have can do and FM is one of them. Have fun playing and creating!

It's a good machine. I love mine, but my FMQ is still not great. It's me, though, and it is getting better.
