Sometimes if you take your receipt and the coupons back to the store within a day or so, they'll give you the $. Depends on the store, but worth a shot if it doesn't cost you more to drive back than the coupons are worth!

I just thought of the coupons ON THE PACKAGE that say "Save today" and you forget to peel it off at the checkout. Occasionally a really good cashier will rip it off for you, but that's a rarity.

I've got one better. My 85 year old Grandmother went into the bathroom to do her morning clean up, and instead of using toothpaste to brush her teeth she used prep H. She didn't tell anyone, but we noticed that her teeth kept falling out, so finally my Mom said "Mom what's wrong with your teeth?" It took us a while to get it out of her, but when we did we couldn't stop laughing about it, we still joke about it to this day.

We were at the grocery on Sunday, and my husband asked why I took the coupon off the box of cereal I was buying and I told him it was because I've learned that if I don't take it off immediately, it goes home still attached to the item.I also found that if I stick it in with my money, I MIGHT remember to hand it to the cashier!

    When I
Actually have my act together, I will write my grocery list on a long envelope and put my coupons inside. I will also note if I have to buy more than one as per the coupon.

Good for you, what a splendid idea. Thanks for sharing. I love your quote from the bible also. May I copy it onto my "E"s a bit. I send lots of them depending on the day and the recipients to off course.
