    Default 2 colored pattern

I'm in a dither of what pattern to use. I have looked at numerous quilt and still can't find a pattern that would be suitable for my fabric. One piece is a soft green and the other has a soft yellow background with tiny yellow flowers. I have 2 yards of each. What pattern would you suggest?

I just googled "two color quilt block patterns". There's a ton to choose from.
The hardest part will be to pick one.

How about a Hunter's Star? That's a lovely two color pattern, and there's a tute for an ez version using HST's:

Maybe add a soft yellow and make four or nine patches with the yellow and green and then alternate with the print?

Since there isn't a lot of contrast between the colours, I might do a Disappearing Nine Patch and then do a large appliqué on top. I think I might do a large white daisy with the green stem and leaf over the D9P.

I did a Jacob's Ladder with two colors. Looked great. Have fun.

There are so many quilts that look great with two color but there may not be enough contrast as Tartan mentioned. A square within a square works with two fabrics and is a simple quilt to make.

I made a pretty simple quilt from 2 colors that I would be happy to share with you but for some reason I have not been able to insert an image with my posts here. If you email me I will send you a picture and the directions, [email protected], and you can decide if you like it. When the board changed format my ability to post pictures was disabled for some reason.

I have found the pinwheel design to be the best, a good light color and a good medium to dark color - check Quilter's Cache - 12" patterns. I did a pinwheel and it turned out gorgeous, if I have to say so myself. No sashing, just pinwheels and it looks like there are more than you actually made. It is easy also. Good luck -Edie
