My youngest wanted to sew today so we pulled the Famers Wife Book out and pulled farbic from the boxes you great ladies have sent us.

Took 90 minutes to get one block done but Chris was happy. He did block #34 Flock today and last night block number #22 Corn and Beans was finished last night.

Corn and Beans uses scraps from Julie in NM
Flock uses fabric from Pat in NJ.

He's new to triangles so today we did Half Square ones so that he can get used to better control of the machine and fabric. he is after all only ten.

It's wonderful that you are sharing your time and talents with your sons. Look forward to watching as your progress through the summer.

We are pretty lucky. Chris uses the 1922ish Domestic with the knee pedal. My fourteen year old Ben uses the new Singer and I use the old White or Brothers. All of the old ones cost $30 or less. The Singer was an Anniversary gift from DH.

But we are having fun picking blocks and picking farbic. The ladies on here have been amazing when it comes to sending us scraps.
