They do have a 2x2 because I have one. When I want to cut lots of things at a specific size, I use tape and put it down along the lines so I know in a flash that I'm getting the size I want, our eyes do seem to play tricks on us as we get older.

I was away from the computer for a few days, and wow! Thanks y'all! Great suggestions and some things for me to think about. I like the idea of a 2x12. Taping my current ruler is high on my list! I thought about doing cardboard, but I would like to be able to see through so I can FC from odd shaped scraps. Thanks for all the links and suggestions!
