2 year newlyweds finally receive Lover's Knot
#1
 Finally my daughter and son in law have received the quilt I had for them on display at their reception. The only thing needed from their wedding date that needed completion was one side of the binding hand sewn and the label attached! Hand sewing has become quite difficult for me and it just seemed like a monumental task to get that done. However, I just took a whole day recently and through the troubles of RA managed to get it all stitched up. They were thrilled to receive it finally. This "Lover's Knot" from Eleanor Burns is 108" by 108". The quilting group I belong to jointly purchased a TinLizzie that I was able tofree motion quilted. It really was a labor of love. Thanks for letting me share, as I have so many UFO's and so few completed even though I have been quilting for years!
It was difficult to find a location to hang it for a photo!

Some of the freemotion butterflies to graze over the flowers!

A friend had the little saying on her quilt and I asked if I could borrow it for mine!

A beautiful quilt and I love the freemotion quilting as well. I made this same pattern several years ago for my son's wedding, however, as I was piecing the fabric for the back we got a call that the wedding was off. It became my "Lover's NOT" quilt at my quilt guild when I brought it for show and tell. Fast forward a few years and it became the raffle quilt for my church's holiday fair and raised over $1,000. A much better use for the quilt, that's for sure.
