I have 20 really nice 1/2 yards and a lovely batik that goes great with the colors. The colors are mostly floral with corals, gold, olive greens, and beige and an equal amount of light and dark values. I am thinking of doing a crayon box from quiltville or a court house step quilt but I am open to suggestions that do not invloved buying a pattern or an additional tool. I have done Trip Around the World with 1/2 yards, however I am looking for something new as I have done all three quilts previously mentioned.
I am off to iron the wrinkles out and hopefully someone of your wonderful people will have a new idea for me.

    Thanks,
    Janet

How about a Jewel Box? Those come out so pretty.

Isn't Turning 20 a pattern that uses 20 Fat Quarters in coordinating fabrics? You may want to check that out.

    http://www.quilterscache.com/QuiltBlocksGalore56.html

This site has a very nice pattern called 4 stars which would look awesome in coordinating fabrics and colors. It wouldn't use 20 different fabrics though.

I did a Jewel Box that I purchased from the board, all batiks and black outline, and added lime green and purple batik for the borders for grad. quilt for DGD. She is very artsy, and she loved it.

Sounds like the beginning of a gorgeous bargello to me. Very easily done following the tutorial on this board.

I would suggest that you go to the tutorial section of this board and see what patterns are there. I'm one of those people that has to see the fabrics before I can decide how it would look good. I'm sure you'll find the perfect pattern. Also, look in quilt books. (Some libraries carry the books or magazines that have patterns in them) - still free I think...
