    Default 2012 Quilt Calendar

What calendar would you suggest for a beginner quilter? I am looking for a calendar with quilt patterns, either a different block everyday or a different pattern each month. Applique is NOT my favorite activity.

I would like to know, also. Sounds like a nice stocking stuffer.

I have one that is a new block every day - if you can understand the basics of piecing it is great- Joanns has it. It is in a box that folds back. It has piecing and applique in it

I have a few of the quilt block a day ones and have tried one pattern. Sometimes it shows how you can put some blocks together to make a quilt top. I used one set to make the center of a quilt then added my own stuff to make it the size I wanted. The instructions are very easy to understand them as well.

If you have CALENDAR CLUB in your area they have large calendars, also box desk types. They contain patterns etc.

make a quilt a liitle larger than a placemat, but leave out the center, a space for a 8 x 10 inch picture, bind the hole and the edge to match. insert a favorite photo for each month.
