I plan on making a granddaughter's quilt for HS graduation, a scrap quilt, a few UFO quilts, and try and use my stash.

    1) finish a quilt top that 9 of us shared blocks for
    2) piece the Fractured Crystal quilt I bought fabric for several years ago
    3) take a long arm class to quilt the 2 quilts above. I've run my first and last king size quilt through a sewing machine to quilt it. I often tell my wife that you need the right tool for the job- for quilting, that is a long arm, not a sewing machine!
    4) get proficient using EQ7

BTW - some acronyms are commonly used that I'm not sure what they are. And I work in Aerospace where there are lots of TLAs!
    UFO - unfinished object?
    WIP - work in progress?
If so, when does a WIP become a UFO?...

And now that all these goals are being set, how does the accountability happen?
A WIP is a UFO when the layer of dust on it is measurable by a quilting ruler???

I want to just get back the desire to get to my quiltroom again. All the projects, fabric, books, patterns and no get up and go. Any suggestions for that? I have so many UFO's of my mom who passed 03/21/2009 to finish for my siblings.

I think you need to start something for you and then perhaps get started on some of your mom's UFOs.

Here are mine: 1) Sew at least 1 hour daily.
2). Finish all started Bonnie Hunter patterns before June. (Easy Street, Christmas Lights, and
    My Blue Heaven)
3). Finish 2012 Michael Miller Quilt
4). Complete assigned blocks for quilts of valor (guild project)
5). Attend at least one retreat.
6). Have fun and meet and enjoy other quilters!

At first I didn't think I really had any goals....I thought about the fabric moratorium and really considered I would be able to do it...then decided that not really, it didn't fit with my needs.

So here is what I've decided...
I will stash dive first, then buy what I need to fill it out.
I will start a new project every month (I joined a 2013 NewFO challenge)
I will learn a new technique (I'm going to sign up for the french braid class in our LQS's winter session).
This Christmas (2013) will be as homemade as I can possibly make it (friends and family watch out!!!).
I have about 6 full size quilt tops to quilt, I will do at least two of them. (doable goal)

That's all I can manage resolution wise.

I want to thank everyone who responded to this post. I think sharing goals is important and may help us stay with them. Good luck to everyone. Have fun.

    2) Cathedral rag quilt
    3) Take Five/Six rag quilt
    4) Etc, etc, etc.

This year I want to reduce some of my leftovers and not always use new fabric. I have so much stripes and pieces from other projects and want to use a part of them for mug rugs, tapel toppers and other little somethings.
