    Finish throw rug for DH
Baby quilt for 1st grandchild due early Feb - fabric due to arrive soon but probably not until next week.
laptop sleeves for DH and me. Hopefully using some of my stash (but since they are pretty tiny it won’t make much of a dent).
    Drastically reduce stash.

My big problem is buying fabric for a project (Ie; baby quilt), laying it out in the desired manner and realising it is awful, procrastinating for ages, then completely changing tack so I’m left with stacks of unusable fabric.

Well, way back on page 1 I said my goal was to NOT participate in every online BOM and sewalong……

Its only January 9th and I’ve already failed.

Finished the A Quilting Life January block today.

But in my defense, I’m only doing one of the size options, not both like I did last year. And I’m planning to only use stash fabric.

    Wish me luck!!!

    Another goal: No New Hobbies.
That is what I told myself when seeing glass fusing kilns. I also have a huge stained glass stash...

    My thinking is short range.
    1. Finish flimsy that’s on design wall.
    2. Take 3 flimsies to longarm quilter on Friday and pick up one quilted
    3. Finish bindings on UFO’s that only need binding

Next month I’ll make a new list.

    Flimsy is 1/4 together.

I’ve let myself get sidetracked. Found a book on minimal quilt designing. This is more my passion. Adjusting goals.

My goal this year is to start a small business making and selling quilts and teaching classes.
I've given myself a goal of teaching 3 classes this year, as a beginning.

My quilting goas are to adapt my Tiara, which I have on a frame, so that I can do pantographs from the back. I've got it mostly worked out...just need to finish it off.

My next goal is quilt 6 of the 15 or so tops that I have.

My show goal is to be accepted again into this years' ArtComp2024...an international fine art competition where first prize is $100k. I don't expect to win, but I do hope to get a piece accepted. They had over 1500 entries last year and only accept 100 pieces, so it's a stretch!

Tell me about this book. It sounds like what I am interested. Can I find it on Amazon?

Cindy; it’s “Minimal Quiltmaking” by Gwen Marston. She was a good teacher for a class at Empty Spools Seminars.

    2024 goals

    1. Continue to get all fabric out of bins/totes - folded on comic board and up on my wall shelves. (Washing many of them, since they have been in my room for over 10 years)
    2. Start using the Good Fabrics that are still warped in bundles, that I bought with no plan and have been sitting around for years
    3. Buy no more quilting fabric, unless 108 wide backings or for quilt that needs a solid color that I currently are working on.
    4. Use up all of the Roll of Batting I have.
    5. Continue on sewing my own clothing journey and use scraps for Clothes, cat beds, totes
    6. Stick with my one project at a time - start to finish
    7. Make cat beds with fabrics I no longer want and donate to local shelter
    8. Keep my sewing room clean
    9. Put away things when I am done for the day
    10. Sew together some of my scraps using a 15 min timer each day
    11. Start a sewing journel
    12. Get on the treadmill after every hour of sewing for 15 -30 mins

I SO AGREE with this! I used to tell myself I was a fabric collector, and can't tell you how many yards of fabric I've donated to Goodwill, only to look for it later because it would have been PERFECT for what I was working on, then chiding myself for giving it away.
