What a wonderful story. My mother is 87 and she has now finished 775 hats for humanitarian efforts. They are winter weight, knit of beautiful colors, and done with love. She hopes on making it to 800 total for the year. Her goal is 2-3 per week for the past 8 years.

What a wonderful balance to the bad news. Too bad it doesn't make the front page. I do think, however, that it makes the front page of the only publication that counts, and there will be many jewels in their crowns.

K-thanks for sharing that heartwarming story with us. It is always a great to have a reminder that there are good people in the world too.

Sara--your mom is a wonderful example of the good of others. What an accomplishment on her part!!!

That is a touching story. Helps remind me that even when the news seems to be filled with terrible and sad stories that there are caring folks in the world. TFS.

    What a very wonderful story!!!
And Sara, what a wonderful mother you have!! Would be really neat if your mom's local paper did a write up on her!
Could you imagine the change, if more stories like this were done? More people being inspired to do likewise.....
    :D

It's great to know that our world still has lots of beautiful caring people, not just crazed, violent beings who bring nothing but misery. Thanks for brightening our day.
