Every one here is so helpful and I need some info.. I just recieved my new(to me) 221 featherweight. Can't beleive it. Any way what is the difference between 221 and 221-1. On my machine there is no plate on the front that says 221. But the serial # AJ006606 matches the print out I have on Vintage machines. Can someone enlighten me on this ? I am so confused . Karen

I'd ask on the vintage machine shop. I don't think there is a difference - or much of one.

Thank you , when I took it out of the box I thought I had purchased a toy. I don't remember them being that small. I sent a machine back to HSN and decided to use that money to buy What I really wanted . My DH say Happy Birthday/ Merry Christmas etc. etc.. I said THanks , Love You Dear. It's so cute I'm almst afraid to use it ...Karen

My DH asked me if Feather Weights were realy that small or did I get took and someone sent me toy sewing machine for way too much money! LOL! Hubby calls my feather weight the Micro Machine.

You will love your new toy. Feather weights sew the straightest seems. I just love using mine.
