That was just the quilt idea I was thinking of as well, LyndaOH. You can take it another step further and sort your fabrics into lights and darks and use this idea. You wouldn't need to have all the darks or lights be the same, I just did it this way because it was easier to "color".[ATTACH=CONFIG]446237[/ATTACH]

I saw a great quilt at a quilt show recently, they took scrap rectangles, made them into a 4 patch (rectangular) and then used sashing to finish the quilt. It looked really nice even though it was a simple design.[ATTACH=CONFIG]446245[/ATTACH]
