    Oh, just found some pale yellow that will be perfect for the back ground. Thank you for the pattern idea.

    Why don't you make a Double Irish Chain? This pattern will allow you to fussy cut the squirrel fabric for the solid block to show it off. And it's easy to make!

    Warning about the Carpenter Star! It's a beautiful pattern but make sure, if you use a print with a distinct direction in it's pattern, that all the pieces are pointing the correct way. I had to learn this the hard way and had to do a lot of unsewing!

    oh my. I love the colors! and the squirrels... do " around the world pattern, I am just finishing up one for my aunt... it is in purple... any left over purple is already going to my niece's quilt....
