    Default 3 Color Quilt?

I have 3 fabrics that I would love to make into a quilt, but I'm not sure what pattern to use. I do not want to do another rail fence.
Any suggestions? This would be a twin sized quilt.

I should add that I am very much a beginner. All I've done so far are rail fences and squares.

Then it's time to try the half square triangle - it opens up a whole new world of quilting. It isn't difficult if you use the method where you put two squares together and sew diagonally. My Carpenter Star with 6" finished squares went together nicely. I used eight colors, but I have purchased three for my next one.

If you want to see it, click on my name, choose 'see profile', then 'started threads' . The quilt is on page two with Carpenter Star in the name. It was probably my fourth quilt.

I like your fabrics. If you are interested in the CS, I'd purchase a pale cream for the third color and hold either the top or the bottom one for a border.

I agree with Irish Rose - these will make up into a beautiful quilt. Spread your wings and learn a new technique, you won't regret it.

How about a light aqua/teal fabric for the background? I have some of that.
I'm getting excited about this. It's going to be my daughter's 1st birthday present. (that's in Nov. so I have plenty of time)

Fence rail - easy and three fabrics are perfect. Love all your fabrics, but especially the squirrels!
