Default 30 yr. old 'squeaky' thing-a-ma-bob

I have been asked to replicate an inter-active applique I made almost 30 yrs. ago. Problem is, it had one of those 'squeaky' things in it - when you squeeze it, it makes a sound something like the noise maker in today's dog toys.

Does anyone have any idea where I can purchase the 'squeaky' thing-a-ma-bob?

Purchase an inexpensive dog toy that has one in it and take it out to use. Sometimes the dollar tree has them.

I was thinking of doing that but as I recall the ones I used were listed as 'washable' - I don't think the dog toy ones would be rated that way.

BTW The 30 yr. item still 'sqeaks' - after countless washings - and is currently being used by the 2nd generation.

The ones in dog toys are a rubber type that should be machine washable

Yes the dog toy ones are washable. I wash my dog's toys all the time. It's a plastic bubble thing.
