Is 39"X50" a good crib quilt size?

How cute!
I like the idea of yellow and blue borders. Eddie's comment about red being powerful is so true.
The size is great - I sometimes make a 'crib' quilt as large as 44x60. Then the child will use the quilt for a longer time.

I love your quilt. I like mine big, so I aim for 45 X60. The biggest problem I have found, if I am using flannel, I have a hard time finding it wide enough for the backing in one piece. I went to one of my lqs one time, and even their flannel was not wide enough, but one of the ladies, you could piece 2 different pieces together. I just needed to cut mine down a bit and then put a border on. I thought, this won't look good, but it did.

Love the pattern, the colors, and really like the idea of the yellow border with blue binding. That would be a knockout!
