I was recently at a quilt show and they showed a quilt that had blocks on point and in the middle of each block was a kite coming out of the center. It was sewn in the center seam of each block. But when you looked at the quilt the kite was actually sitting on top of each block. They said it was an easy quilt to do -- but I can't find the pattern. Anyone have a clue as to where I can find this quilt pattern. The blocks were 6' in size and the lady said the kite was made out of the same size blocks. :?: :?

This sounds like one of the origami quilts or a folded and tucked project. You might check a book by Jennie Rayment or one of the folded fabric books. Let us know, and I will keep my own eye out for it.

I believe the pattern you are looking for is in The Quilter magazine, the May, 2004, issue. Is this it? Go to

    http://thequiltermag.com/

to purchase back copies of the magazine.

Those kites are on my to-do list also! :D What isn't?

Yes, I found it from a different quilting board -- they were able to find it for me and scan it and e-mailed it right away. Thanks for your help. I appreciate all of you.
